Snow falling this morning on Christmas Eve in Midtown. The snow will end soon and it will become sunny by afternoon. Approximately one-half inch of snow will fall. Sunny and seasonably cold weather for Christmas Day. Have a great holiday.

Snow Fell for the First Time on This Date in 43 Years Today in New York City...
Snow and rain showers cover a large area of the Northeast this afternoon. The temperature at 5 p.m. in Central Park was 45 degrees. Last Saturday the high temperature was 73 and last Sunday it was 80. A trace of snow fell between approximately 1:30 and 2:00 a.m. this morning and between approximately 4:45 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. this afternoon in Midtown Manhattan. This is the first time snow has reached the ground in Manhattan in May since 1977 and only the third time since records began in the mid 1800s.
